Introducing Dr. Kevin Priestley

My entire family is involved with helping people. My father worked for the New York City Police Dept. for 45 years and my younger sister is a police officer as well. My mother is a registered nurse as are my two sisters. As a teenager, who loved to swim, I spent my summers working as a lifeguard on Long Island. Realizing early that I wanted to help people, I decided to major in pre-med.

Dr. Kevin Priestley

I majored in pre-med at the University of Tennessee. But one night a friend invited me to a lecture presented by a chiropractor. The information presented was so simple but made so much sense. How can someone be healthy taking drugs? The idea that you could restore people's health, without medicine, by adjusting their spine was a revolution to me. I decided that evening to become a chiropractor and continue to silently bless the friend who took me to that lecture. After my younger brother watched how we were changing so many peoples lives he decided to become a chiropractor and now has his own practice in New York.

I attended the University of Tennessee because they had one of the best athletic programs in the country. I was fortunate to have received a full scholarship as a member of their swim team. After graduation in 1976, I attended Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, graduating in 1980. Since then I have attended hundreds of seminars, workshops and lectures to keep up with the latest research and new developments in the chiropractic profession.

Our ideal patient is committed physically, emotionally and financially to achieving a greater functioning nervous system and a lifetime of optimal health. When patients follow our recommendations, they get amazing results. Since beginning my practice in 1980, I have helped thousands of Corona del Mar and Newport Beach-area residents achieve optimal health.

I have been married to my wife, Rhonda for 21 years. When I am not in the office, I am on my boat fishing or coaching one of my son's teams. Our son Max is 16 years old and loves acting, playing football, Jr. Lifeguards and is involved with A.S.B in school. We love traveling, and try to make it to Italy at least once a year.

My family and I receive chiropractic adjustments on a weekly basis. I workout daily and my son and I workout together 2-3 times a week. My wife has a personal trainer two times a week and enjoys walking the island for exercise. We drink lots of water and eat only fresh food, nothing processed or frozen. We do not get sick often because of our regular chiropractic care. However, if we do get sick we get adjusted and recover quickly.

You've heard enough about me! How can we help you with today's safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards optimal health.

Dr. Priestley Asks some important questions of interest to Corona del Mar residents - Chiropractor Corona del Mar Dr. Priestley Asks...

Can those with osteoporosis get chiropractic care?
Of course. When developing a care plan, we consider the unique circumstances of each practice member. There are many ways we can adjust the spine. The chiropractic method we select will be best suited to your age, size and unique situation.
What is the purpose of pain?
Pain prompts many Corona del Mar folks to begin chiropractic care. But pain isn't the problem! Pain is just how your body alerts you that a limit has been reached (or exceeded), that something isn't working right and that some type of change is needed. As a chiropractor, my job is finding the underlying cause and recommending the changes needed to bring your body back into balance.
